We created the Lightning Design System at Salesforce UX as a tool to enable designers and developers to create beautiful and intuitive experiences on the Salesforce platform by providing components and robust pattern guidelines. It also serves as a living, breathing representation of the current state of Salesforce’s product design language. It is actively maintained by the Design Systems team, which I founded and managed, and it is used regularly by 1000+ developers & designers at the company and within the larger Salesforce platform ecosystem.
